About Us
In October, 2008, we recieved a Lemelson-MIT InvenTeams grant of approximately $9,000.00, funded by the Lemelson-MIT Program. With it, we spent eight months developing our original invention - the TorchCord™, a pressure-sensitive illuminated computer cable. On March 20, 2009, we presented the TorchCord™ at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, as part of the National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance (NCIIA)'s March Madness for the Mind exhibition. In June, 2009, we traveled to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, Massachusetts to attend EurekaFest - a celebration of the "inventive spirit" organized by the Lemelson-MIT Program, to present the TorchCord™ to an audience of world-renowned inventors, innovators, and professionals in the fields of science and technology.
